Call Center Scandal

Call centers are almost everywhere nowadays. There are call centers in ayala alabang, in ortigas, makati, libis, cebu asia town IT park, cagayan de oro, baguio, davao and almost every major cities in the Philippines. Call centers have become the oasis of those who could not find a job after they graduate college and those who are laid off by their previous employers. Salaries for call center agents are a bit higher than ordinary jobs. Couple of years ago, there were talk that working in call centers is a lucrative job. However, today it seems that the salaries are only a bit higher than non-call center jobs. This is maybe because of so many jobless people looking for jobs in call centers. Nevertheless, having a job is way better than being jobless at all.
Call center scandal
So young graduates rush to call center parks and walk in for a job inteview. The last time I visited a call center/IT park, I saw a lot of young and sexy women and some men. The call center environment looks like not a work place. It looks like a gimik place. There are bars, shopping centers, parlor shops, etc. But what really caugth my attention is the culture in a call center area. It looks like a place where one can commit infidelity. There are so many temptations around because there are so many women who are so sexy and flirt men. That is why there are reports that there were marriages that were ruined because one of the partners became unfaithful to the other.
