The Pacquaio Clottey bout will happen on March 13, 2010 at the Cowboy Stadium at Dallas, Texas. This bout is a replacement to the supposed to be a mega fight Pacquiao Mayweather bout which did not happen because of the issue on drug testing. Pacquiao doesn't want to take the drug test within 24 days before the fight while Mayweather wanted a drugtest within 14 days before the fight. This issue was not settled leading to death of the most-awaited mega fight.
To fill in the vacant opponent corner, Bob Arum chose Clottey as the next Pacquiao's challenger. Pacquiao will put his Welterweight Championship Belt on the table.Can Clottey dismantle Pacquiao? Can he at least put enough Pacquio? Or Would Clottey just take a sweet schooling from Pacquiao?
Looking at Clottey's previous performance, he looks like he doesn't stand a chance against Pacquiao. Before the Pacquiao-Cotto fight, Clottey clashed against Cotto but ended up like a hammered meat. Cotto was too much for Clottey. And Pacquiao was to much for Cotto. Cotto ran from Pacquiao like chicken little. Based on this steel-hard fact, I can say that Clottey will be badly beaten by the Pacman.
Many writers say that Clottey has a strong chin. That clottey was hit hard on his previous fight and was able to take it and that Clottey has not been stopped in his 15-year boxing career. So, they say, that Clottey will give Pacquiao a hard time and will probably punish Paquiao all night. This is like a reasoning of someone who has not seen Pacquiao's fight. Pacquiao was able to knock down almost all of his opponents in his previous fight. He knocked them by giving them a clean punch on a chin. Remember Hatton? Pacquiao sent Hatton to dreamland but giving him a perfect punch on the chin. If Clottey has a strong chin, then Pacquaio has a perfect weapon against it. Pacquaio will win this fight by knock-out on the 4th round.
